Gerald William "Willie" Nye, Jr., 55, of Evansville, IN was called home by the Lord on Friday, January 13, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born May 11, 1967, in Cortland, New York, to the late Gerald William Nye, Sr. and Beverly (Towers) Brown. He was married to his soulmate, Angel Harkins on July 24, 2021. They were together 22 years.
Willie’s favorite thing to do was going fishing! He loved life and made the best memories out of everything he did. Thanks for his best memories.
Willie is survived by his wife, Angel; daughter, Claire Stanfield; granddaughter, Roselyne Grey Arrington; two brothers of Jesup, GA, and four sisters all of Cortland, NY.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at his home in Evansville, Indiana.
