He attended Vann Avenue Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. Jerry was a local musician, playing the saxophone. He was owner of Davis Music Service and Jerry’s Clock Repair. He enjoyed fixing and collecting clocks and was an avid golfer.
Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Davis; and parents, George and Hazel Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Bowles Davis; sons, Scot and Jeremy Davis; daughters, Lori Davis and Shannon Woodworth; 10 grandchildren; brother, Robert Davis; sister, Delores Tyree; step-daughters, Lisa and Starla Bowles; and step-son Wesley Bowles, Jr.
Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Eric Martin, with burial at Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown. Friends may visit 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
