George "Lloyd" Yeager

George “Lloyd” Yeager, 93, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at Deaconess Hospice Care. He was born September 22, 1918 in Sturgeon, IN to the late August and Lula Yeager. He served in the Army and was a WWII Veteran. He was a member of Westwood General Baptist where he was an Elder and was a member of various organizations. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing the guitar and religious activities with the Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louanna Pride Yeager in 2006. Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Cathy Marcussen; son, James Yeager; grandchildren, Timothy Marcussen, Courtney Thomas, and Chad Marcussen; and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Westwood General Baptist Church, 121 S Boehne Camp Rd, Evansville, IN 47712, officiated by Rev. Dave Terrell, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel.
