Emma "Boots" M. Weber

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, and in 1981, retired from Deaconess Hospital after 18 years of service. She was fondly known as “Boots” to many of her family and friends.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 2017; parents, Ed and Bessie Owen; brother, Louis Estil Owen; son, Alfred Stanley Higginbotham; and daughters-in-law, Shirley Higginbotham and Jeanne Higginbotham.

She is survived by her son, Edward Higginbotham; grandchildren, Robert Higginbotham, Angela South (Jeff) and Eyde Arndell; five great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor David Cullison, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
