OBITUARY
Elbert Bowers
August 11, 1931 – June 27, 2011
He was an avid Nascar fan, closely following Tony Stewart.
Elbert loved to attend races at Tri-State Speedway, go to Casino Aztar, and enjoyed traveling.
He retired from PrescoTech after 31 years of service.
Elbert was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in January 2011; parents, Eldon and Elizabeth Bowers; and brother, Delbert Bowers.
He is survived by his four sons, Donnie and Bruce Bowers, Bob and Larry Johnson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye Ford, Sue Shemwell, and Irene Tweddell.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Deaconess Hospice Care Center.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Steve Clayton with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and on Friday from 10:00 AM until service time.
