Born June 10, 1977, in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Bruce & Mary (Russell) Pearson.
Upon his graduation from North High School in 1995, Doug served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After exiting the military, he achieved a diploma in Information Technology from Indiana Business College, followed by a Bachelor of Science Degree in IT from the University of Phoenix. His computer knowledge turned him into everyone’s IT guy. He held positions at the pharmaceutical companies of Mead Johnson and Astra Zeneca for over 23 combined years and, in recent months, had joined the Kaiser Aluminum family.
Doug lived life to the fullest. On any given day, you could find him outside cruising on his mower, working on his Hoopty, playing with his Doberman puppy, joking with one of his children, spending time with his beloved mom, or just sitting on the back porch chatting with his wife. His favorite place was home and he enjoyed anything that involved being with the people and animals he loved.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kelly (Cole) Pearson; two sons, Joshua (Nikki) Pearson & Carter Pearson; two daughters, Molli Jade Pearson & Shiloh Pearson; mother, Mary Pearson; brother, Mark (Brenda) Pearson; sister-in-Law, Kim (Todd) Elleser; mother and father in-law, Diana and William Cole; nieces, Megan (Byron) Rademacher, Maddie Elleser, Paige Wawrzyniak; nephews, Ethan Elleser, Chad Wawrzyniak, Christian Wawrzyniak; and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce E. Pearson.
Doug is also survived by members of his tribe - a group of friends and brothers whom he held in the highest regard and spent as much time with as possible. Individuals who were so much more than just friends.
As an ongoing gift of life, Doug was an organ donor. This is a true testament to the ‘hero syndrome’ he was often accused of having…never putting himself first.
To honor this amazing man, a Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Pine & Co on Sunday, July 10. Located at 15901 Petersburg Road in Evansville, Indiana. Open House visitation from 2-4pm. Formal service & military salute begins promptly at 4pm.
