Dorothy Faye (Raleigh) Wittmann, 90, of Evansville passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born in Greenville, KY on January 14, 1933, to the late Yewell and Nellie (Harkins) Raleigh.
Dorothy was very creative and was known for her tatted stationary, jewelry, and quilting. She loved to read. Dorothy had a great sense of humor, and didn’t know a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gilbert E. Wittmann; son, Terry Wittmann; and six siblings.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Gary Lynn Wittmann and Christopher Wittmann (Angie); daughter, Cindy Jones (Brian); grandchildren, Jonathan Wittmann, Ashlee Stevens, Zachary Wittmann, Amanda Wittmann, and Isaac Jones; eight great grandchildren; brother, Joseph Raleigh; sister, Lana Arney; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
