Dorothy Jeane Skelton

Dorothy J. Skelton, 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born April 16, 1940 in Springfield, TN, to the late Henry and Carrie Roberts. Dorothy retired in 2005 from Sears where she worked 36 years. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the South Congregation. She loved caring for her family. She and her husband, Clyde, were proud to have adopted their granddaughter, Classie, and great grandson, RC. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Skelton; twin sons, Ricky and Dicky Skelton; and sisters, Ada Baxton and Eddie Mae Swann. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jutzi-Kishline (Mike); daughter/granddaughter, Classie Skelton; son/great grandson, RC Skelton; grandchildren, Monte Skelton, Mikey Gill, Kelly Skelton, Shavonn Skelton, Kari Skelton, and Ashley Gill.; great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside prayer will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Alexander Memorial Park.
