Doris Jean Wilkey Murray Grant

She retired from the Vanderburgh County Auditor’s Office and was secretary of the County Council during that time. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will truly be missed.

Jean was preceded in death by her first husband of 36 years, Kenneth E. Wilkey; and her second husband of 10 years, Shelby Grant.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda (James) Dunning, Kathy (Jamie) Witwer, Kenneth “Buddy” (Tina) Wilkey, and Betty Ann Clements; 14 grandchildren; 30 great -grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2017, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ray Koonce, with burial in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Friends may visit Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
