Donald "Don" Ray Gross, 70, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011, at his residence. He was born on November 25, 1940, in Evansville.
He was a member of Harwood Baptist Church and SWIRCA. He earned recognition from the Rescue Mission as “Volunteer of the Year” in 1997. Don enjoyed reading, working puzzles and fishing at the Bluegrass Fish & Wildlife area. He especially enjoyed traveling, visiting small towns and old buildings and driving scenic routes along the Ohio River.
Don is survived by his two sons, Allen L. and Travis J. Gross; and their mother, Anna K. Fulkerson.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Karl Crowe. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
