Donald R Babbs

Donald was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 18, 1937 to the late Claude and Lena (Deichelbohrer) Babbs. He worked at Rexam Plastics for many years until his retirement. Donald was a lifetime member of the River Bend Association, Reed Masonic Lodge #316 F & AM, and the Hadi Shrine where he was active in the Hospital Staff and Drum and Bugle Corp. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his grandkids.

Donald is survived by his wife, Margaret Aubyn (Spradley) Babbs; daughter, Aubyn "Beth" VanHook and her husband Steve of Evansville; sisters, Anna Mae Lindy of Evansville, IN, and Leona Clift of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Andy Morris of Evansville, IN, Alex Morris of Evansville, IN, and Adam Morris and his wife Shelby of Greenwood, IN; Donald is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; and by his brothers, Richard and Harold Babbs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN, 47711 with Pastor Gene Backes officiating. Entombment will follow at Alexander Memorial Park where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home with a Masonic Service starting at 7:00 PM. Friends may also visit from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home on Friday.
