DJ lived a life of pure joy, love and happiness. He worked as a cook and loved cooking. He always put his family first, they were his whole life. DJ had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. He was always the life of the party and making others feel welcome. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather and friend. DJ's legacy will always remain through his fantastic five.
DJ was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Melrose McNary, Sisters, Mary Potts and LaTonya McNary and brother, Chico McNary who died on the same day.
He is survived by his wife, Karma Jones; children, Jazzma, DeJuana, Toshe’ana, Devontae, and DeAndre; sisters, Anna Bryant and Donna Smith; and brothers, Rick McNary (Johnetta) and Donnell McNary; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at Alexander East Chapel along with his brother Chico McNary.
