Darrell William Palmer

Darrell William Palmer, 62, of Lincoln, Illinois passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at home. He was born on December 16, 1960 in Evansville, IN to Kenneth Palmer and Janice (Imel) Palmer. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, collecting vintage lighters and spending time with his two dogs. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1979 and worked for Evansville’s West Side Wastewater Treatment Plant for over 30 years. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Leroy Palmer; sister, Kristi Palmer; brother, Kenneth Lee Palmer; and sister, Kelly Lynn Minor. He is survived by his mother, Janice Palmer; daughter, Kathleen “Kat” Palmer; son, Christopher Palmer; grandson, Noah Palmer; brother-in-law, Wayne Minor; former wife and mother of his two children, Carol Palmer; as well as a niece and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN officiated by Reverend Terry Farmer. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
