Obituary of Coleman J Mason
Coleman J Mason, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 16, 1928 in Central City, Kentucky to James and Elsie Mason. He served in the U.S. Army and then retired from Whirlpool in 1993 after 45 years of employment. Coleman was a faithful member of First Southern Baptist Church and a dedicated believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved to hunt and play golf. Coleman was a devoted family man. He loved serving his church, was an ordained Deacon and an avid Bible reader. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Martha J. Mason; sons, R. Steve Mason (Marilyn) and Roger C. Mason (Linda); grandchildren, Craig (Claudia), Chris (Rebecca), Angela (Chris), and Annie; two great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and numerous other family members and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center and to Southern Care Hospice for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor David Cullison officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
