Cletus graduated from Reitz High School in 1958. He served in the Army for 3 years and went to work at Bucyrus-Erie when he returned home. Cletus retired from Whirlpool after 37 years where he was a supervisor. He ran the largest motor paper route for the Evansville Courier for 38 years. Cletus was devoted to his family, hardworking and selfless. He always put others before himself. He was an incredible father and grandfather. If he wasn't making memories with his grandchildren, you could often find him in his garage tinkering with things to fix or create something out of. Cletus also enjoyed spending time with the family dogs, especially Piper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest J. Reynolds and Elizabeth "Betty" (Bank) Reynolds, and sister, Marcella "Marty" Bond.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Reynolds Allen (Brian); son, Brett Reynolds; sister, Lorraine Tucker; grandchildren, Travis (Jasmine) King, Molly King, Lily Barthel and Lia Barthel; great-granddaughter, Briar Ann King; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17th at Alexander West Chapel with Rev. Dave Schwambach officiating. Entombment will follow at Alexander Memorial Park. The Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16th and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
