He loved football, especially the Colts, Nascar, especially Carl Edwards, playing cards, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and co-workers. He worked for Silgan for 37 years.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Fayetta (Stuckey) Mitchell of Boonville; daughter, Melissa (James) Knox of Boonville; sons, Stephen (Laura) Kohl, Jr. of Folsomville, Bobbie (Marcee) Kohl of Evansville and Craig (Jo Ellen) Whitinger of Boonville; grandchildren, Gabrielle and PJ Pilc, Chris and Katie Knox, Tressa and Bobbie Kaden Kohl, Stephen Kohl III, Blake, Hailie and Keith Williams, and Josh and Chase Welch; Brother, Harold Bruce; sister, Connie Mitchell; brother, Frankie Bruce; sister, Carolyn McKinan; sisters-in-law, Rosetta (Don) Feistel, Loretta (John) Carter, Arletta (Kenny Jr.) Miller, Annetta (Don Sr.) Page, Tuanetta (Dwight) Bryant, Rayetta (Edward Burnett) Brown, Marcetta (Randy) McCarty and Ronetta Stuckey; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Roger Stuckey.
Services will be 7:00 PM Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Br. Dane Gray. Friends may visit Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
