Charles William Willoughby, 80, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, at North Park Nursing Center. He was born November 18, 1935, in Muhlenberg County, KY to the late Golis and Gertie (Phillips) Willoughby.
He was a 1954 graduate of F. J. Reitz High School and serviced in the United States Army in Korea. He was one of the original "Mr. Peanut Men" on Main Street here in Evansville. Charles also ran the train on the movie set of Old Tucson in Tucson, AZ on weekends while working full time for the Tucson Arizona School Corporation as a grounds keeper until becoming ill. He then returned to Evansville, where he spent the rest of his life. Charles lived his life to the fullest and never met a stranger.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul Willoughby.
He is survived by his daughter, Dusty Anderson; brothers, David and Allen Wayne (Lisa) Willoughby; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
