He leaves behind his wife, Jennifer Welborn-Holmes; his children, Naomi, Nevaeh, Shay, Dakota, Kaydence, Faith, Taylor and Cayden; his grandson Noah; his mother Rachel Lynch (Michael); his brothers and sisters, Steven Holmes, Jason Holmes, Jennifer Lyon and Michele Hardin; and a lot of nieces and nephews.
Charles loved to draw and do tattoos. He was always helping others even when he needed help. He was his mother’s world, her Rock. Charles will be missed by all. He mentored others in making sure they no longer used drugs while fighting his own addictions. He loved fishing, art, and was an ordained minister. He was currently attending Perry University to become a Psychologist. He enjoyed spending time with his new son Cayden. He was 3 years sober, had a spark for life. Charles was happy in his life with his new wife Jennifer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN. Friends and family may visit Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
