He was an over the road truck driver for many years and enjoyed watching trucking shows on TV.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Carla D. Williams.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Mercer; granddaughter, Georgia Marie; two grandsons; sisters, Karen Stevens, Pam Manning, Dawn Marie Fox, and Tina Rene Miller; brother, Preston D. Cornwell; nieces, Bonnie Flikke, Sharon Manning, Karrie Stevens, Crystal Smith, Kelly Shelton, Kristin Cornwell, Rachael Cornwell, Leslie Cornwell; nephew, Andrew Jessie; and many cousins.
Per his wishes, there will be no public services held.
