Carl “Butch” J. Mueller, 69, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born April 16, 1945, in Evansville, to the late Carl Henry and Genevieve (Gaily) Mueller.
He worked in shipping and receiving for 36 years at Kent Plastics, as a security guard for National Security, and for Whirlpool for 15 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved sports, especially football. Carl was part of the 1961 undefeated Reitz football team. He was a coach for the Jr. Football League and had served as president and commissioner. He loved to bowl and made many friends. He was a member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Sharon Harper and Donna Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carole (Lane) Mueller; daughter, Karen (Mike) Fridley; sons, Carl (Michele) Mueller, Jr. and Ted (Rhonda) Mueller, all of Evansville; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 1, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Stoelting, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
