Obituary of Brian John Mann
Hi everyone, this is Brian’s sister, Kati. And believe it or not, I am his younger sister though he always told people I was the older one….I am heartbroken, Brian passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. He has been struggling a lot with heart issues the last four or five years among other challenges. If you are friends with him then you have each touched his life in some way. Brian and I lived in different states but stayed in touch daily. If you knew him well you know he lived for two things 1) his beautiful and amazing 14-year-old daughter, Avery who has all of his spunk, quick wit, smarts and gentle, kind soul and 2) his dog, Sparrow who was his companion for many years. Avery’s mom Bridget has Sparrow at her home now so Avery and Sparrow won’t be separated; they need each other. Brian and I were best friends growing up as we moved a lot but always had a built in friend in each other. We lived our own lives while staying in touch but got very close after our mom died in 2007 and even more so when our dad died in 2019. We were the last of the “Mann” family. I could spend hours talking about him and tell you a lot of stories but all I know what kind of guy he was and what an amazing and kind person he truly was. It is too bad he could never see what everyone saw in him and just how deeply he was loved. Our focus now shifts to Avery and ensuring she is ok. No child should lose their dad at 14-years-old. If you have any funny or sweet Brian stories or if you want to share anything else with Avery, feel free to do so on this page. I want to wrap our arms around her as an extension of Brian’s love.
