Bonnie Hicks

Bonnie Hicks, 80, passed away, Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville, IN. She was born, June 25, 1932 in Evansville to the late Carl and Emma Werner. She was a homemaker. Bonnie was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and was an Elder and Chairman. She graduated from Retiz High School and was a past president of Helfrich Park & Reitz PTA’s; Reitz Marching Band Club; and Reitz Forensic Club and Speech Team. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard; sons, Richard C. Hicks (Nancy), David Hicks (Gayle); daughter, Katherine Martyn (Russell) all of Evansville; grandchildren, Leandra Hicks, Alyssa Hicks, Erin Hicks, Justin Hicks, Erik Hicks, Kara Martyn, Mason Martyn; great-grandchildren, Addison Hicks; nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:00AM, Friday, February 8, 2013, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, officiated by Rev. Lynn Marino, Rev. Karl Crowe, and Rev. Jeff Long with burial at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 2:00PM until 8:00PM at Alexander West Chapel.
