He was a US Army Veteran and retired from Whirlpool as a Head Operator after 44 years of employment. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed bowling, golf, playing Clabber and playing music.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Wanda (Jarvis) Pierce, on June 2, 2013; parents; sister, Frankie Mae Sanders; brothers-in-law, Cecil Flud, Tony Coomes and Larry Jarvis; sisters-in-law, Marjorie (Willard) Holmes, Maxine (Jim) Myers and Janet (Russell) Goebel.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Pierce and her husband, Andy Kriegshauser, of Evansville; sister, Wilma Dean Flud of Dallas, TX; sisters-in-law, Eva Coomes of Evansville and Joyce Jarvis; brothers-in-law, Timothy (Jackie) Jarvis of Frostproof, FL and William T. Sanders of Dallas, TX; uncle, Clyde (Gigi) Pierce of Muskogee, OK; aunt, Louise Rowland of Durant, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8020 Covert Avenue, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
