She was an LPN and had worked at Deaconess, Good Samaritan Home and St. Mary’s Medical Center. She enjoyed crafts, Bingo and traveling with her friend, Will. She was a member of Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Orbie Lewis, in 2001; grandson, Clayton Lewis in 2010; sister, Helen Binns; and brothers, Loren and Elmer Thomas.
She is survived by her sons, Tom (Ruth) Lewis, Dan and Bob Lewis; step-daughter, JoAnne Clark; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Moore; and special friend and aunt, Jackie Thomas.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
