Betty Lou Keith, 78, returned to her Heavenly home June 27 at 4:22 PM after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Her devotion and firm belief in God supported her to the very end and ultimately gave her peace.
Betty Lou was born June 6, 1940, to the late Harvey and Lona Spears. A Baptist Minister and a loving mother respectively, in Central City, KY. She was immersed in Christian values that would be her lifelong pledge from an early age. She was an acolyte to all that came into her life from day one.
Betty Lou was blessed with a large and loving family that she loved dearly. She raised 5 kids of her own and helped with many others. She taught them to be patient, disciplined, humble, and kind. Betty was an educator of the heart, she taught them to strive to always be “the best person they could be”. Always having the time to listen or solve a problem no matter how big or small.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 60 years, Carl Eugene, Sr.
Betty Lou is survived by her sons, Carl Eugene, Jr., Kenny Eugene (Debbie), Danny Ray (Denise), Timothy Alan (Jamie); her devoted and loving daughters, Rhonda Lynn (Jeff), Teresa Ann (Jeff); grandkids, Brian Nathaniel, Damien Joseph, Justin Ray, Madison Erin, Sydney Ann, Elizabeth Katherine, Allyson Lynn, Emma Clara, and Abbigail Grace; great grandkids, Kolton Alan, Cambrey Ray, Aubrey Sky, Eli James, and sweet Paisley Joe. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Dorris Rugs and Shirley Spears; her caring brothers, Randall and Billy Spears.
Betty Lou is and will be missed by all her loved ones, who are now celebrating that she is rejoicing with her past loved ones and deservingly dwelling forever in the Kingdom of her creator Jesus Christ.
Betty Lou’s showing will be held at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 1st, 2018 followed by next day services at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor and family leader Gary Meredith, Sr., will officiate the service.
