Betty Lucille Hinkle, known affectionately to her family as “Aunt Bobbie”, 90, of Plantation, FL, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at her home. She was born April 5, 1927, in Evansville, IN to the late Louis and Isabelle (Huff) Lehmann.
She worked at Hinkle Bait and Tackle, which she owned and operated with her husband, Ernest. Betty was an active member of Calvary Chapel in Plantation, FL. She enjoyed needle point and making afghans, which she loved to share with others.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Blackie” Hinkle; brother-in-law, William Krietemeyer; and her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Krietemeyer of Auburn, AL; brother, Donald Lehmann (Mary) and Robert Lehmann (Nancy), all of Evansville, IN; nieces and nephews, Steve Krietemeyer (Beth) of Columbia, SC, Amy Krietemeyer of Auburn, AL, Louis Lehmann (Laura), Tracy Lehmann Keller (Darren), all of Evansville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Celebrant Carrie Hatchett, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 12:30 PM until service time at the cemetery chapel.
