Betty L. Mayes Dodd

She built a career in banking holding positions in the states of New York, New Mexico, Colorado, California and finally back home again in Indiana. She retired from Old National Bank in 2004 where she held the position of Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President. She loved to travel and her favorite places were Paris, France and any beach. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She brought joy, sunshine and laughter into the lives of her family and friends and she will always be missed.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Lester “Buck” Jones; and sister, Carolyn Reynolds.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael “Mick” Dodd; son, Brandon Dodd; daughter, Katie Dodd and her fiancé, Jason Howell; sister, Rita (Ron) Shuck of Pasco, WA; brother, Ron (Jan) Mayes of Chiefland, Florida; and sister-in-law, Carol Thornton of Normal, Illinois, whom Betty’s family would like to give a special acknowledgement for the kind and loving care she provided Betty in the last days of her life. Betty was Meme (Grandmother) to Blake, Kara and Alyssa, who were the light of her life.

Memorial services were 6:30 PM Friday, July 13, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends visited Friday from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
