

She was born in Ashbyburg, KY on March 18, 1927 and moved to Evansville at age 13. Bea retired from the Evansville Regional Airport after 35 years of service.
Bea enjoyed working with her flowers in her courtyard and vacationing in Florida. She was an avid card player and was very talented at the game of Tonk.
Bea is survived by her nieces, Karen Tucker (Jerry), Barbara Griffith, Pam Muensterman (Joe), Debbie Cohoon (Tom); nephew, Jeffrey Dickman (Dody); daughter-in-law, Terry O’Connor (Mark); stepson, Steve Vandiver (Linda); granddaughters, Tabitha O’Connor and Michelle Meny; and grandson, James Sedwick. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Gary Thomas Cargill, Donald Lee Cargill, daughter-in-law, Melodie Cargill, mother, Laura Belle Hyder, sisters, Mary Lou Viehe and Faye Dickman, and brother, Elmo Hyder.
Her family would like to thank River Pointe Healthcare, where she was affectionately known as “Queen Bea” and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Alexander North Chapel with final resting place at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
