Barbara Ann Russell

Barbara A. Russell, 84, of Evansville, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017, at Oasis Dementia Care. She was born September 30, 1933, in Clay County, IN to the late Leonard Leon and Anna Martha (Stepp) Miller.

She graduated from Reitz High School and worked for Whirlpool as a parts list compiler for 34 years. Barbara was a member of the Whirlpool Get Together Club, golf and bowling leagues, and the Eastern Star.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in 1978; brothers, infant John, Jim and Mike Miller; and sister, Donna Stephens.

She is survived by her dog, Sadie; son, Broc (Michele) Russell; daughter, Bobbi (Ron) Miller; grandchildren, Keesha (Mike) McAlpine, Kassandra Russell, Jessica (Ryan) Beal, Anna Miller and Jonathan and Jacob Greenwell; great-grandchildren, Makayla Davidson, Hubert and Giovanna McAlpine, and Xavier Sheriff; sisters, Imogene Miller and Kitty Hendricks; brother, Gig Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Eric Rawdon, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
