Barbara Sue Robbins, 84, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, due to complications of Spinal Meningitis. She was the daughter of the late John Green and Velda Corine (Tudor) Metcalf.
Barbara graduated from F.J. Reitz, she received a degree in Interior Design while residing in Florida. Before becoming a stay at home mom, she also worked at Pearl Cleaners, St. Johns Church and owned her own baby cloths resale shop in Evansville.
In her later years she enjoyed staying home and getting visits from her sister, son, daughter–in-law and grandchildren. She loved planning on how to change the interior of her house for each season of the year. She always enjoyed the comfort of her dog, Star who was always by her side. She was always waiting for a visitor to stop by and talk the day away.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Floyd Metcalf and Winifred Lee Metcalf; first husband Samuel Dee Ewell; second husband, Mark Alan Feagley; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 22 years Randy Glen Robbins; brother, John C. Metcalf; loving sister, Virginia C. Larvo; son, Douglas J. Ewell II; daughter, Tina L. Ewell; daughter-in- law, Julie A Ewell; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid Pandemic and her wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be graveside at Oak Hill Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 for immediate family and friends.
