Barbara J. Merrill

Barbara J. Merrill, 94, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Brickyard Healthcare-Woodlands. Barbara was born on October 25, 1929, in Bicknell, Indiana to the late Wright and Nora (Godfrey) Paul.

Barbara is a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, bird-watching, playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles K. Merrill; brother, Ralph D. Paul and sister, Ida Ruth (Paul) Stone.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Jean Haug (Dan) and June Lindamood (Joe); grandchildren, Kayla Colburn (Matt), Megan Haug, Seth Haug, Joey Lindamood, Jake Bruner (Sadie), and Caytlynne Lindamood (David Jones); and great grandchildren, Emmalyn, Seth Michael, Sawyer, Raelynn, Cash and Ramie.

The family would like to thank Brickyard Healthcare - Woodlands and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and compassion.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
