

Barbara “Barb” J. Holajter, 87, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born April 14, 1925, in East Chicago, IN to the late Joseph and Mary (Skertich) Klokoski.
She worked as a telephone operator at Illinois Bell for over 30 years. Barb enjoyed animals of all kinds, including her current pets, Dutchess and Annie. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Barb was especially proud of her great-grandchildren and was very influential in raising Kenzie when she was a young child.
Barb is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert J. Holajter; sons, David (Carol) Holajter and Stephan (Susan) Holajter; grandchildren, Erin (Ty) Holajter-Baxter and Casey (Jared) Maddox; and great-grandchildren, Kenzie Holajter, Reese Maddox and Brennen Leach.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM Friday, November 16, 2012, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3010 East Chandler, officiated by Fr. Alex Zenthoefer, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
