Austin was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and camping. He enjoyed working as a machinist. He was kind, gentle, loving, and had a giving heart. Austin especially loved spending time with his niece, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by Logan Proctor (Georgia’s father); grandparents, Charlie and Viola Nelson, and Frank and Helen Pepper; and aunt, Rebecca Nelson.
Austin is survived by his parents; sisters, Kristy (Nelson) Chism (Jeff) and Caitlyn Nelson (fiancé, Adam Luigs); nieces, Georgia Elizabeth Proctor, Cierra Chism, Alexia Chism, and Karley Joy; and nephews Blake Chism and Dalson Alverson.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dale Beaver, with a burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
