Dorothy Lillian Keck, 98, of Escondido, CA sadly left us on April 6, 2024, due to natural causes. She was born in Bismarck, ND on December 14, 1925. Dorothy was raised on her family ranch in Price, ND. She graduated from Mandan High School (1943) and continued her education in nursing. She became a registered nurse in 1947.
She is survived by her two children: Mark Keck & Ronda Tague; son-in-law, Keith Fruhling; granddaughter, Kelly Harris & her husband, Brian Harris; granddaughter-in-law, Tiffany Fruhling; three great grandchildren: Madison Fruhling, Hunter Fruhling, & Peyton Harris; brother, Douglas Price and his wife, Marlene Price; three sisters-in-law, JoAnn Price, Sharon Price, & Betty Freborg and her husband Vince; brother-in-law, Kent Janssen; and multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Helen Price; two husbands: Marvell Keck & Albert Keck; her daughter, Marsha Fruhling; grandson, Michael Fruhling; son-in-law, Steve Hughes; and her siblings - Billy Price, Grace Janssen, Donald Price, & Tom Price.
Dorothy had a heart of gold and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, decorating, traveling, attending church, going out to eat and playing cards with her friends and family.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by many.
A memorial Service for Dorothy will be held at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 795 N. Rose St., Escondido, CA, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:30pm.
