Christine Marie Bahen

July 3, 1949 - July 28, 2024

Christine Marie Bahen, 75, of Escondido, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, July 28. She was born in Lynnwood, California, and was a bank teller, caretaker on a Hawaiian estate, entrepreneur, and above all, a tireless caregiver. In 1974, Christine married the love of her life, her soulmate, Dennis, in Paradise, Utah, and enjoyed living in California, Utah, Hawaii, and Oregon throughout their life together. She was the most dedicated of mothers, always looking for ways to give “her boys” the best life she possibly could. When time allowed, she loved gardening and working on her beautiful home.

Survivors include sons Gary Bahen and Nicholas Bahen of Escondido; step-son Tom Strecker of Astoria, Oregon and his family; and half-sisters Marilyn Diola and Helen Hines.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks at the Bahen’s Escondido residence. Details forthcoming.
