Charlene Anderson Logue

Charlene was born on May 27, 1938 in Kingsport, TN and moved to Oxnard when she was 9. She was a 1956 graduate of Oxnard High School. She worked at the Naval Base Pt. Hueneme where she met her husband, Pat Logue. They were married on April 19, 1958.

Charlene was a homemaker, and a volunteer for both the Oxnard Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the American Heart Association. Her greatest passion was her two children, Michael Logue and Stacy Logue Tanner. They, in turn, provided her with 4 grandchildren - Alexander Logue, Matthew Tanner, Jonathan Tanner and Christopher Tanner - and 2 great-grandchildren, Caylynn Moler and Adalynn Logue.

In addition to doting on her family, Charlene's hobbies included bowling at the old Tournament Bowl, reading, decorating her house and bunco with her girlfriends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Pat, her parents Joseph and Virgie Mae Newland, and her older brother James Edward Newland.

A funeral mass will be held at 10AM on September 28 at Santa Clara Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at 11AM at Ivy Lawn Cemetery and a celebration of her life from noon to 3PM at the Four Points Sheraton, 1050 Schooner Drive, Ventura, CA.
