Wade T Hunt

HUNT, Wade Sr., Thomas 82 of Dayton, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years Peggie Ann (nee Allen) Hunt in 2009, daughter Valerie T. Hunt, his parents Wyatt Gaston and Ida Belle (nee Wade) Hunt, sister Gracie Farrell, cousin Wilene Holmes. Wade leaves to cherish his memory one son and daughter-in-law Dr. Wade T. Jr and Coral Hunt of NY, three daughters and one son-in-law, Vanessa A. Lynem of GA, Victoria R. and John Thompson of AL, Valdoshia B. Hunt of GA, granddaughter and her husband Toria and Kevin Germain of KY and grandson Michael Thompson of IL. Also surviving are his cousin Charles Holmes, numerous nieces and nephews. Wade was a 1955 graduate of the Tuskegee Institute, he earned two masters degree’s from Wright State University, retired from the US Air Force as a Major, also retired from Civil Service from WPAFB where he was an engineer, he was also an adjunct Professor at Central State University and charter member of the Dayton Tuskegee Alumni Club. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, Monday, August 21, 2017 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, 675 West Wenger Road, Englewood starting at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Wade’s life at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ted Milbry presiding.
