HARDERT, Mary J. “Lucy”, 90 of Phillipsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Lucy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years William W. Hardert in 1997, her son-in-law Larry Payton, one grandson Eric Payton, two brothers and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons and daughters-in-law William T. and Mickey Hardert of New Carlisle, Michael R. Hardert and Linda Ball of NH, one daughter Dee Hardert – Payton of CT, two grandsons William E. and Mitchell T. Hardert and one granddaughter Erin Payton. Also surviving are her extraordinarily special friends Sondra and Gary Davis, Kim and Rick Blaine, Bev and Tom Hall, Ruth Ann and Robbie Phillips, Carol Coate and all of her close golfing buddies. Lucy had been a teacher’s aide in the Northmont School District for several years, was a member of The Church of the Transfiguration, loved to play golf, was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She also enjoyed Scrabble and crossword puzzles. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home Friday morning July 10 at 9:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at THE CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION, 972 South Miami Street, West Milton with Fr. Eric Bowman celebrant. Entombment will follow in Royal Oak Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions if desired may be made to The Church of the Transfiguration in memory of Lucy.
