HARMON, Hobert D., 94 of New Bremen, Ohio formerly of Dayton passed away peacefully Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Elmwood Community Assisted Living Center, New Bremen. Hobert is survived by two nieces and their spouses, Saundra and Larry Hirschfeld of Anna, Jane and Dennis Gruebmeyer of New Bremen; three nephews and their spouses Bill and Jane Moore of New Bremen, Elgon and Charlotte Hornback of New Carlisle, Ricky and Sharon Hornback of Dayton; several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Lillian (nee Stratton) Harmon, two sisters Virginia Hornback, Doris Moore; two brothers Vernon and Douglas Harmon, niece Geraldine Hartmann and his special pet dog Peekie. He was a professional painter for many years at the Walter M. Litsey Painting Co., and was US Army Veteran serving in WW II. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 11 am to 12 noon at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road followed by a Celebration of Hobert’s life at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Hobert will greatly missed by his family and friends. Contributions if desired may be made to the Hospice of Dayton in memory of Hobert.
