Robert Joseph Rennick (Uhrinec) 85, passed away on January 21, 2021 at the Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Florida after contracting Covid-19. Born in Binghamton, New York on April 18, 1935 he was the son of Joseph Uhrinec and Mary Gerich Uhrinec Rosensweig. Robert (Bob) (“Bumps”) was the beloved husband of E. Rita Rennick (Coy) of Detroit, Michigan for 64 years and they lived in Syracuse, Cazenovia, Manlius and Chittenango since the late 1960’s. They moved to Florida in 2017. They were members of Eastern Hills Bible Church in Manlius and Fellowship Church in Englewood Florida.
Survived by his wife, Bob is also survived by 4 daughters and 4 son-in laws, Peg Martin (Thomas) Mt Laurel, NJ, Mary Jo Hubbard-Axxin (John) (Chase), Hamilton, NY, Robin Sutton (Lowell), Westminster, MD, Amy McKenna (Paul) Felton, DE and was pre-deceased by his daughter Rebecca Arthur Chandler (Carl) who passed away in 2014 from Manlius, NY. Robert is Grandfather to 13 grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren. His brother Michael Gary Rennick is from Las Vegas, NV.
Having served in United States Coast Guard after graduating High School at Binghamton Central in 1953 Bob began a Sales career for Motorola, East Syracuse United Radio’s Beep Call Division, the New York State Fair and AFLAC Insurance Company in his later career. Bob served on the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and the Syracuse Rescue Mission Board of Directors. Robert had a very strong personal faith in Christ and as a follower of the teachings of the bible including the Old Testament. Those who love and know him believe he is in heaven with our Lord.
