What a true blessing to have met this beautiful lady. I bonded with her and Lisa right away with thier close relationship. Her smile was infectious and I appreciated her caring heart as well as her hugs 💕 My deepest sympathys for such a great loss. 

Because going out for dinner and drinks is just thing you with Nancy and Steve.

Blessed to have had this wonderful woman in our lives. So many memories and Special moments. Always like a second mom to us. We will never forget Nancy!

This is your cousin Genie 'Fiorella' Strom from California. (Uncle Gene's daughter).  I am so very saddened to hear of your loss.
  I do remember Nancy with so much pizzazz and personality!  Vivacious and friendly,  great stylish sunglasses and everything was for sure 'unreal.' Nancy was dynamic!  Christmas cards with greetings from the 'furry friends' came every year too!   I have fun memories of coming to visit Auntie Ann and the 'gang' and being able to see you all over the years!

I'm saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. She had a wonderful upbeat attitude and an infectious laugh.  My condolences to her family. 

Many fond memories from back in the day. To me,  Nancy was always the "cool mom." You'd be hard pressed to find a kinder, more loving person. Such a loss. Hugs to the family.  

Nancy came into my life ,like most Angels do at the right time , and we’ve been the best of friends ever since.  Not a week would go by that she’d miss calling to see how I was doing.  We absolutely had a Great Time in everything we did together, go out to Lunch just about every week and Shop till we Dropped !!!!  Nancy made everything Special and She made everyone feel Special .. Love Doreen 


I have so many fond memories of Mrs Annecone and in every picture of her in my mind,  her smile is always present. Her shining personality will live on in our hearts forever.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

We will miss her greatly, so fortunate to have our lives touched by such a sweet, kind, and caring person.

Nancy adopted my family years ago when she adopted Tara !!! Nancy was ALWAYS there for our whole family !! She always showed up with her tube tops, Hawaiian print shirts and her awesome glasses !!But most of all her huge heart and hugs that would wipe all the tears away!! Thank you mom A for raising 2 of the best big sisters a girl could have!!! Love always little Jona xoxo

Wonderful memories were made on this Florida trip. Was such an amazing gift to be embraced as a honorary daughter from Mamma Nanc and to feel her love.  You will be missed.  

Nancy was my friend for over 40 Years . We met over a dog of all things . Nancy was the one that taught me to hug . I will never forget her laugh and wonderful smile . I know I will see her again someday along with her furry friends and mine 


Aunt Nancy was my Great Aunt; I'm the daughter of "Katrina" aka Kathy West, the woman talking your ear off. "Great" isn't simply a designation of lineage but a descriptive word that encompasses what Aunt Nancy was to me. My mother is correct in that, one of the consistent memories I have of Aunt Nancy were my birthday cards. And Easter cards. And Christmas cards. You know, pretty much ANY holiday that happened, my sister and I got a card from her. Sealed tight to perfection. Literally, SO MUCH tape to hold the precious contents of that envelope. You never knew what surprise you would get. Confetti, doilies, stickers, coins. You name it, it was there. She had the most beautiful handwriting and you could tell the time she took to create that little mosaic of a card. Furry kids were always included, which I appreciated, having one of my own :P



Aunt Nancy had a Hollywood swag about her. Flashy glasses. Tweety Bird necklace. Plethora of tube tops. It is UNREAL how many tube tops she had. Seriously Aunt Nancy, how many did you have?! 


She loved my sister and I so much and we always knew it. When I close my eyes I can hear her laugh, her favorite word (unreal), her hugs, and her spirit. Whether we were at DisneyWorld or in the backyard--pretty sure my alligator nightmares stem from their little visitor--she was always so much fun to be around. 


She taught me how to be an aunt and that's really all we can wish for during our unreal time on earth, right? To inspire and love those close and far from us, with the hope that we continue to pay it forward.

Part II Memories of Aunt Nancy

When everyone hated squirrels, my Aunt Nancy would make them pets and fed them peanuts. every. day.

Until Lisa was born, I was her very favorite little girl.  I didn't resent being replaced, though.  Love you Lisa.  

I saved almost every card she sent to me and my girls.  Mine were always addressed to "My Katrina"  I don't know if she ever actually called me by Kathy! They always included a paper heart with taped-on coins, until the post office started refusing to put them through the machines.  This is MY girls' favorite memory of her, I'll bet.

There are more memories, but by now I am sobbing and you all are saying, wow this is  waaaay long. 
But not long enough to say how much you are loved, Aunt Nancy.

I am unable to come to the funeral, which breaks my heart even more.  So I am using this opportunity to share my memories of my Aunt Nancy.  I hope they will bring a smile to anyone who reads this and understands how special she was.  
My very first memory of Aunt Nancy was when I was very very young.  She and Uncle Steve were still newlyweds and I had my very first sleepover ever at their apartment/house.  Uncle Steve must have been at work or possibly even at school in Michigan because I only remember being with her.  I loved her immediately.  She was young and beautiful and so different then all the elder family members who cared for me.  I was eating dinner and she gave me peas and I tried to hide them in my mashed potatoes and she caught me.  I was crushed at being caught and disappointing her, even though she was not stern in her scolding.  
I spent hours and hours with her and Lisa as a baby. The most vivid memories are of us in KMart and Zayres buying the most outrageous stuff.  The best:  velvet ribbons with little balls hanging on them which we hotgun glued to a small lamp shade.  I can still feel them and I am pretty sure they might still be somewhere in the house.  I guess that's my 'Rosebud'.   A close second is remembering TV dinners (they were the rage and Aunt Nancy was a big fan) and watching Star Trek .  
Next memory up ----the maaaannnnny trips to Walt Disney World.  Secret sips of the Monorail (pina coladas) drinks in the Contemporary Lounge when in my teens.  And more shopping at Lake Buena Vista shoppes (she OWNED those shops).   
More serious memories of when in my teens and in trouble, I went to live with them in Englewood for the summer. My Uncle drove all night to go pick me up and take me home where Aunt Nancy was waiting  welcoming, warm embrace.  Over time I saw them build the house and pick out all the color schemes.  I walked through Lemon Bay Funeral Home with Uncle Steve as it was being built and felt so proud.  Part II next...


Nancy Annecone was my husband Don's Aunt.....She made me feel like family so she was my Aunt too. I loved how much she loved her family and friends. She sent beautiful cards for birthdays and anniversaries and always signed them with hearts and underlined everything. She would also put those little shiny birthday cake things & balloon sprinkles in the cards so when you opened the card they would sprinkle everywhere. Her hugs were so strong and you knew she loved you and enjoyed life so much. She fought a good fight for a long time!! She will be missed so very much!! We love you Aunt Nancy....RIP.
