Marcel was born January, 15 1932 in Fairfield, VT. To Elie and Rose (Noel) Demers.
He attended Holy Angels School in St. Albans, graduating from Holy Angels Commercial.
As a young man he lived and worked on the Brigham Farm. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends, and spoke with fond memories of those days for the rest of his life.
A Corporal in the U.S. Army Artillery, he served in combat in the Korean War, and was awarded a bronze star for his service.

Marcel worked at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford Ct. as a riveter, an assembler, a leadman and a foreman. Because of his Quebecois accent, he was affectionately called Frenchy by his co-workers.
During his days at Sikorsky, he was active in bowling and horseshoe leagues. He excelled at both, and led his horseshoe team to the factory championship.
After 45 years, Marcel retired from Sikorsky in 1990 and moved to Englewood, FL. He spent his retirement doing the things he loved: spending time with family, riding motorcycles, playing cards, dancing, and doing odd jobs and lawn maintenance for his neighbors and feeding wild birds and squirrels.
Marcel could fix anything. He could always be found working on some machine or device that wasn’t working and solving the riddle that would bring it back to life.
