At an early age, Linda moved and grew up in Bloomfield, NJ. She graduated from Bloomfield High School. She attended Tennessee State University in Nashville. Linda was married to Robert (Bob) Bondeson for 42 years, the love of her life and travel companion.
Linda worked for Westinghouse Electric which became Philips Lighting for over 35 years as an Industrial/Commercial Customer Service Representative, Warehouse Manager in Nashville, and Queens NY. She then became the National Customer Service Manager in Somerset NJ. When Linda retired, she relocated to Rotonda West, FL in 2006 to enjoy the good life in paradise.
Linda worked on numerous committees in the Rotonda West Association including Communications Committee, Activities Committee where she actively participated in the annual Rotonda Christmas Parade riding in a golf cart collecting food and monetary donations for charity, and was a member of the Election Committee. She also volunteered with the Charlotte County Elections as a precinct worker. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary with the Amvets. She helped create the "Jersey Girl Club", and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Club. She was also a previous member of Rotonda's Neighborhood Watch for 14 years.
Her true passion was world travel. Over 200 days cruising various locations around the world. She really enjoyed Florida Studio theatre and Englewood Performing Arts Center. Loved daily Sudoku.
Linda surviving son Daniel Hafdelin (Valerie), Daughter Katherine Trudeau (Stephen), grandchildren Courtney and Myles Trudeau, and Predeceased son Kenneth Bondeson (Joyanna). Preceded in death by her parents Russell Kleinbauer, Arlene Kleinbauer and a brother Russell Kleinbauer Jr. (Marlene). She will be remembered by her sister Nancy Owen and niece Carolyn Conley (Rich).
A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Florida Cancer Society.
