Edward "Ted" A. Child

Edward A. Child (Ted), 81, of Englewood, Florida, entered the eternal rest on Friday, May 27, 2022. Ted was born June 14, 1940, in Passaic, New Jersey. He lived in Pine Brook, New Jersey, until 1983 then relocated to Tarpon Springs, Florida. Ted worked in the scrap business for 20 years in New Jersey. When Ted relocated to Englewood, Florida, he worked for Gasparilla Pools for 25 years. Ted loved working out in the yard, also going fishing with his friends.

Ted is survived by his daughter, Dawn; brother, Frederick (Kathleen); granddaughter, Brittany; and great grandson, Aliyas.

Ted was predeceased in death by his wife, Phyllis Child; his parents Viola and Edward A. Child, Sr.; and his son, John Child.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Ted on June 12 at 4:00 p.m. at La Stanza Ristoranate, 285 Dearborn St., Englewood, FL 34223. Friends should be prepared to pay for their own meals and beverages.
