He grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. He loved the restaurant business and worked for The Chart House Restaurants in Daytona Beach, FL, and Alexandria, VA, where he met his wife. He is preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Chet Adamson Blakeman. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laura Nielsen Blakeman, and his two sons, Chet Nielsen Blakeman (29) and Brenner William Blakeman (25). He loved fishing, boating, golfing, and gardening. The man never heard a joke he didn’t know and had a joke for every situation. He was beloved by many and will be deeply missed.
