Peggy Terrell Shelton

Another angel gained her wings on 5/2/19, Peggy Terrell Shelton originally from Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Doniphan (RAdm. Don Shelton); daughters, Deborah Thomson and Donna Kacmarcik; nephews Charles Larry Terrell, Scott Hickson, and John Hickson; nieces, SueAnn Schulte, and Barbara Terrell Smith; grandchildren, Megan Colburn, Robert Torpey III, and Tiffany Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Marc Colburn, Camden Cunningham, Paige Torpey, and Declan Torpey and great great grandchild Riker Colburn.

Peggy will always be remembered for her southern charm and wit, along with her desire to shop! She had many “one liners” that were used consistently throughout her life that we will always remember.

Her favorite tour of duty was the 3 years spent at Subic Bay in the Philippines.

Because Peggy always wanted to enjoy flowers while she was alive, in lieu of, memorial contributions may be made to the Helen Woodward Animal Center, 6461 El Apajo Rd. Rancho Santa Fe, CA. 92067

A service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church - 334 14th St. Del Mar, CA, on Tuesday 5/28/19 at Noon. Reception to follow immediately after.
