“Patti-P” was born on November 7, 1942, in San Diego, California, to Ed and Adeline Hopster. She was one of six children.
Patti was happily married to her husband Frank Thomas Lego for over 27 years. They had two daughters together, Jennifer Lego and Catherine (Lego) Glasgow.
She was a hairdresser for nearly 55 years and, at one point, was the proud owner of California Reflections, a charming hair salon in La Costa. She loved her work and the lifelong friends she made because of it.
Nothing brought more joy to Patti than being with her two grandchildren, Benjamin and Charlie. She loved cheering them on at baseball games, having them come for sleepovers and making them their favorite foods to eat. She was always in their corner and their number-one fan.
She is survived by her two daughters (Jen and Cassie), son-in-law (Shon Glasgow), two grandsons (Ben and Charlie Glasgow), her two sisters (Doris Giannini and Mary Jane Papenhausen and her husband Bill), a brother (Richard Hopster and wife Judy) and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband (Frank), parents (Ed and Adeline), and two brothers (Don and Dennis Hopster).
Family, friends and others whose lives Patti touched are invited to a celebration of life at Encinitas Mortuary, 340 Melrose Ave, Encinitas, CA 92024, on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. A reception at The Boathouse in Lake San Marcos, 1025 La Bonita Dr, San Marcos, CA 92078, will immediately follow.
