My most sincere condolences to the Salazar Family.  I first met Angel in 1977, we bought the Western  Auto store the same month that Angel opened Especial Norte  and for 41 years it has been our favorite Mexican Restaurant.  The very best Tortilla soup in the universe!  In 1980 I became president of the Chamber of Commerce and Angel agreed to help us get the Chamber "Sundowners" started by supplying the food for one of our first meetings - we blocked off 2nd street from the Union Bank south for a block and had a huge block party.  Later he hosted a Sundowner at the Especial Norte and kept the food coming for 2 hours.  What a wonderful man and business man he was.  My wife and I moved out of Calif. in November so I am just finding out about his passing.  We are so sorry!  May God Bless and keep you and the family.  Sincerely Ron Zehr

Today's been one of the hardest dayd of my life. The pain in my mom, my dads, my sisters, my primas and primos that more like my sister and brother, seeing tears rollong down their cheeks. Losing one of the strongest, hard working, kind, loving with a yelling attitude at times because that was Him. And he learned it from his role models his mother Luica (my grandmother), his sisters Margarita( my mom) Tia ChuChi), his Tias (Tia Anita, Tia Carmen) his father Francisco (my grandfather), his Tios (Tio Ignacio, Tio Luis, Tio Esteban) that I'm positive they each some impact on my Tio Angel to make him into the great man he was along with all of his mistakes. And now hes left some impact and each one of. He left us experience, lessons, memories, many laughs, and stories. Watch over us and please watch over your sister (my mom)Rest in peace to the baby brother of the family Angel Salazar and most of all THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

 Vivimos tantas cosas... reímos , lloramos, bromeábamos y hasta discutíamos cuando no salíamos de acuerdo. Gracias por todo y por siempre estar ahí. Esos buenos momentos siempre vivirán en mi corazón. 
 No sé si sean coincidencias de la
Vida pero justamente el día del aniversario de fallecimiento de mi papá (su amigo de la infancia) usted partirá a su última morada.

Daddy, thank you for everything that you thought me you know I was and will be your right hand in command. I know that I was a handful but you always knew and mom would say I would do anything for you. I would always take your words in my heart . You would pick on me and I on you. That’s the kind of relationship we had. I wouldn’t want it no other way. Still remembering when we ate at the restaurant I had the fish Tilapia plate. You looked at me and said, You ate the whole ANIMAL will you be able to get up and walk. I told you, Of course, I take one to go to. That’s how we got along so well. You also told me you had promised my dad that you would take care of me. Who’s going to do it now?

Angel, you always had my back. Such a wonderful experience working with your family 

You were my first love ♥️. You taught me to be tough, to give back but to always strive for what's mine. I love you Dad, I'm not sure if you fully understood that you were everything to me and my son. I'm was so blessed to have you has my father. You are an incredible man. Te amo mi viejo.

I will miss you tio, say hi to my grandparents for me.  Thank you for always visiting us and thinking of us especially my lita.  Love you Tio Angel rest in peace.
