This is a wonderful poem that Mr. Ken Kuratko read on the morning of burial services:

My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
that gave my life it's start.

She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem...

And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough--
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong--
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.

What will Park Ave. be without Mrs. Harrington! Such a wonderful and generous friend to my mom and to Catherine and to all the kids in the neighborhood  - even when we became grown up kids. She will surely be missed by all.

We have lost a wonderful caring great friend and adopted Grandmother to the Chavez Family.  We have lots of wonderful memories we shared with her. We will really miss Marilyn words canot express our saddness.

Marilyn, one of the sweetest and most thoughtful person I have ever met. Someone you just couldn't help but love. Kevin has his Momma back but I know she is leaving broken hearts behind. My deepest condolences to the family. God has taken her away but has given you the most beautiful guardian angle. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

With Michaels call, I learned I had lost a very dear friend of over 70yrs.She was always there for you. She remembered your birthday and any other dates in your life, happy or sad. Another of our high school gang is now gone and will be sorely missed by all.  Her devotion and love for her family was unmatched.  My deepest sympathy to her family.
