I am so sorry to hear of Sean Malloy's passing.  From the Malloy's in Chicago.  My son, Tim Malloy is a Lieutenant on the Chicago Fire Department.  He is the son of John Malloy, from Indiana.  The tributes and photos for Sean Malloy were quite touching.  He was well loved.

One thing I know about Sean, he loved his wife & family !!!  He told me about his life back in the old  days @ The NAVY BASE and I am in awe, of his dedication, he ensured his family that, they always remained first in his heart & mind ! ( I already posted # 2  on here) ... I just am still stunned of my friends passing, Sean, had a great heart ! GOD bless your family... P. Gill  

Regina and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.  When I got stationed at Tyndall AFB, several people in the Fire Department took care of me, Eddie, Brad and most certainly Sean. He and Regina welcomed me into their home countless times for parties and to be there for me when I had some rough times.  I had the privilege of riding the Rescue with Sean as well. He was so passionate about his job and performed it flawlessly. He was a motivator to all the young guys. Funny as hell and totally genuine. I can honestly say, it's been 24 years since I got to know Sean, and I have never met someone else like him, and probably never will. RIP brother.  

Regina, Collin and family.  Just know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you during this time. Sean is finally at peace. I know our good Lord is wrapping you in his arms of comfort, peace, love and will see you through this time of sorrow. Hugs to you all, Shelia

The boys and I  have been reading all of these GREAT comments about my husband Sean - you made us laugh and cry.  Yes Sean made my life crazy at times never boring ,  but we loved him for who is was,  my three sons turned out to be the best part of Sean an me, you would all be so proud of them.  I will be putting him to rest soon and will be representing you all with his Fire Fighter Helmet, boots and axe there.  Thank you again and so glad you got to be a part of him...

Your legacy lives on through all of our lifes.  You were the true meaning of the of the firehouse family.  Godspeed our brother for we have the watch from here sir.  5-5-5.  

First thought that comes to mind about Sean is commitment he was committed to his profession , he was committed to his family and he was committed to making life better.

Sean was like a big brother and one of the best captains I've worked for. Everyday we were on shift together you knew it was going to be a good one. I can still hear that dudes laugh!! One thing you learned quick was to never fall asleep in a recliner, I'm still scarred by the incident with the hotdog Sean lol. You may be gone but never forgotten buddy. Rest in peace 

I met Sean the first day I landed in Panama City straight out of the fire academy.  He took me under his wing right away and he took time out of his schedule to train not just me but all the airmen.  My goal was to ride that rescue truck and to be like Sean and when I finally got that chance he and Chris dumped tons of knowledge  on me that I use to this day.  My heart goes out to Regina and the kids. You will be missed my friend.  Love ya buddy 

Sean was a great guy, many funny memories of him, he was one  of a kind. Great times down Panama City Beach, or house parties off base. He really was one of the funniest guys I ever worked with. Remember working with him and Chris was our captain and he was the driver at station 2; funny, crazy, loved and missed...

Sean was my friend and a fellow firefighter brother. I was saddened to hear of his passing . Even though we have lost a wonderful human being I will continue to keep Sean's light shining by spreading kindness, laughter and a willingness to help others. It saddens me to hear of Sean's passing g. I have known and worked with Sean for over 20 years. He was one hell of a firefighter and great man. I have many fond memories of Sean. He was taken way too soon. May he rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon him.

You were the first to welcome me into the family and I will always remember pelicans eating your fish on the line, pulling up sharks, and throwing moccasins out of the boat on the creek. You've raised fine young men and inspired along the way. 'For many years you stood the watch so that our countrymen and we could sleep soundly in safety, knowing that a young man would stand the watch. Sean and I both started out our Civil Service careers together working at the Tyndall Fire Dept. Wasn’t long before Chief DeLonjay had us riding rescue together which in hindsight, probably was a mistake. Chief often referred to us as “Beavis and Butthead,” always up to shenanigans (Sean’s term).  Work hard/play hard was the motto and as others have stated Sean was a great firefighter/rescue man. Sean spent a lot of time, particularly with young Airmen, teaching them how to egress a pilot from an aircraft, disentangle someone from a wrecked vehicle, or how to put out fires and search for victims. Sean also enjoyed the many shift outings canoeing on the Econfina Creek. So many great memories, some of the best years of my career.  May God Bless Sean and continue to look out for his family. Rest In Peace brother!

Sean was a great friend. Spent many days together either on shift at Tyndall, off duty construction jobs or in the woods and creeks.   Times him and Regina came up to the mountains to vacation with Tracy and I, or part of rescue with Chris, Bobby, myself and a long list of “back seaters” that got educated by Sean.  Your at peace brother. Love ya!

Sean was such a wonderful person and an amazing firefighter.  My life is better because he was in it.
